HW: Create a one-page "fact sheet" on your two independent reading books from the third quarter. Include the following information: Author, book title, names of major characters, brief plot synopsis, genre or type of writing, and any other information you think is important. One page, typed, can serve for both books. Print this out and have this with you to begin planning your book talk in class.
F (E) Begin to brainstorm for your "book talk" about your independent reading. Include the author, title, brief overview of characters and plot/situation, and hook. (Think of this as a "teaser" meant to entice other readers to pick up the book. You may include props or costumes as part of your book talk.)
List images you will need for your project. Where will you find them, or how will you create them? (Hint: Create opening title page and ending credits page by using PowerPoint and screen-capturing slides.)
Demonstrate how to collect images; review copyright free sources:
Hand out permission slip (need to return on Monday).
HW: Prepare for book talk (research CC images, book covers; load app if using own device; practice; bring in permission forms).
Note: Students can use teacher-created account for app during project production. (Optional Bring Your Own Device starts on Monday and continues through production.
